1995 ari - ALL ROAD INTERNATIONAL GmbH
The French BMI group retreats from the German market and Andreas Reul buys the shares in the company. At the same time the company is renamed ari – ALL ROAD INTERNATIONAL GmbH. ari is now a family-owned company with a branch at Niederzier and another at Plauen, with a staff of 24 employees.
2001 - ariATEGE - ALL ROAD INTERNATIONAL ATEGE GmbH
The company formerly called ari turns into ariATEGE – ALL ROAD INTERNATIONAL ATEGE GmbH – after that the ATEGE, being a member of the Gondrand group, became its minority shareholder, and takes over the business of the ATEGE branch at Cologne.
2004 ari – ALL ROAD INTERNATIONAL GmbH ATEGE returns the shares it has been holding in the company ariATEGE since 2001 by 1st January 2004 so that Andreas Reul again is the only shareholder in the company that is given back its former name. For the branch of Niederzier, 260 trucks are on the road throughout Europe, with 14 being company-owned. They deliver and collect goods to and from 102 European destinations while the domestic area is served with 6 company-owned trucks. ari operates a 3,000 sqm warehouse for cargo handling and order picking of which 1,000 sqm are used for hazardous goods storage. In addition to the core operations of goods transport, warehousing and order picking, we have always been doing customs clearance and Intrastat declarations and still do. Our branch situated in Plauen/Oberlosa operates with 60 international and 4 domestic trucks. Their warehouse has a handling area of 1000 sqm.
2005
Because of the long lasting sound and successful cooperation with our system partner ILN International Logistics Network GmbH & Co KG a.A. at Sinzig, we participated in March 2005 in this company. This was also done to have, on the basis of our right to vote, the possibility of collaborating on the positive development of the company. ILN operates an international network with 110 members in Germany being medium-sized forwarding companies which guarantee services.
2006
In February, our Plauen branch relocates within the municipality of Plauen/Oberlosa to a new and bigger location.
2007
In January 2007, ari GmbH became shareholder of the French company Lotrex Dijon. Lotrex, at that time only operating a network for pallet distribution in France, is composed of 63 medium-sized and mostly family-operated companies. From 8 central hubs, pallets are distributed by night via 50 member hubs throughout France. Lotrex operates exclusively in the pallet sector. Also because of our stake in the company, Lotrex begins to establish international transport systems in the same year, and we, ari, are proud to be the first German shareholder of Lotrex. Our membership and shareholdership enable us to offer and guarantee our clients a 48h service for France. In November, Michael Reul, son of the managing shareholder, is appointed as further managing director with the objective of a planned succession in the company.
2008
Amin Karrakchou, son-in-law of the managing shareholder, becomes the manager of the Niederzier branch. The forwarding management is assigned to Dieter Gibbels.
2009
In spite of our greatest effort, in particular through our owner manager, we could not absorb the loss of a major customer so that we were not in the position to avoid financial distress. Neither winning new customers nor staff reduction could bring the necessary result.
End of June – not endangering our main business – we decided with a heavy heard to close our branch in Plauen existent since 1992.
2010
Our increasing business volume in particular the warehousing made it necessary for us to invest in a larger operation site which could satisfy our future requirements. End of 2009 we could buy the dedicated terminal in Düren right in our neighborhood.
The new warehouse has a capacity on 4500 m2. 1000 m2 area we use for terminal handling, 3500 m2 area we use for storage incl. hazardous cargo and for pick and pack of all kinds of articles. Our garage is operating on 1000 m2 for our own truck fleet in the first step. Service and truck wash we later offer on the market. Our administration is in business on 800 m2.
After extensive renovations we could move end of August 2010 to Willi-Bleicher-Str.17, in 52353 Düren.
